How to Save a Great Vintage Frame with Shabby Chic Roses

I love to find great littles at the local Flea Market.
Littles are small object artisans find to re-purpose and sell.

I found this beautiful framed plaque that originally held a country rooster print.
It had no glass. So I thought it would be a perfect project to re-claim

I left the frame as I found it. You can see it was worth saving. It has layers of aged creamy colored paint and was sanded to perfection.

I simple pulled out my sunset colors and add painted my
shabby pink roses right over the rooster. A short time my project was finished.

If you find and interesting framed plaque. Don't pass it up.
re-use it and paint your art on it.

If you would like to try my roses you and find a video on my blog
Just look thru my post.

How To Paint Driftwood Fish Book

Just finishing up my latest eBook How-To-Paint Driftwood Fish.I have painted these funny little fish from Cape Cod to Maine and I am always pleased with the responses people give me when they see them. This book will cover everything you need to know about painting and decorating wood you harvest from the sea shore or river bank.

When you learn the technique of how to paint my fish, you'll find that it is fun and easy and when you are finished, each one will have it's own silly sparkling personality.

Not only do I write about this art, I alway enjoy teaching in small groups

Here is a photo of a couple of talented young students in York, Maine

Art Cards Editions and Originals A.C.E.O. and ATC..... What is it?

Vibrant Colors Angel Card with Jewels

ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals

ACEOs are miniature pieces of art that measure 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". If a small piece of art has different measurements than this, it does not qualify as an ACEO.

They can be original art, printed editions or photographs.

Most ACEOs are two dimensional, but three dimensional elements may also be incorporated. Paintings, Drawings, Collages, Pop-Ups, books, and sculpture can all be ACEOs as long as they measure 2-1/2" x 3-1/2"!

ACEO History

ACEOs started off of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), developed by the artist M.Vänçi Stirnemann. He based the size of ATCs on sports trading cards.
ATCs can only be traded or given away. Their purpose is to share art and to encourage creative exchange between artists.
Like ATCs, ACEOs may be made with any media, material, or method as long as they measure 2-1/2" x 3-1/2".
